Clinique La Prairie’s current AMAALA destination page now says the Saudi Arabia health resort will open in 2027.1 That replaces the earlier expectation of a 2026 opening.
The project remains an announced development, not a clinic that a patient can currently compare through a complete program menu, public medical pricing and a live AMAALA booking path.
This status check separates what the provider has confirmed from what prospective guests still need to verify.

The correct consumer description is therefore planned for 2027, not “opening in 2026” or “now bookable.”
What Clinique La Prairie Has Announced
The provider’s announcement describes a 36,115-square-metre development with 52 rooms and suites plus 13 villas.2 It organizes the concept around four pillars: medical care, nutrition, movement and wellbeing.
Planned facilities include a diagnostics laboratory, radiology, physiotherapy, neuroscience, dermatology or aesthetics services, dentistry, a beach club and spaces for education and cooking. The announcement also refers to cryotherapy, hyperbaric suites, IV infusion and other future therapies.2
These are development plans and provider descriptions. They do not confirm which services will be licensed, operational or included at opening.
What Is Still Missing for a Patient Decision
The public pages reviewed did not provide:
- an AMAALA-specific program list with eligibility criteria;
- itemized medical and accommodation prices;
- named clinical leadership for the operating resort;
- a confirmed first bookable arrival date;
- cancellation terms or deposit requirements for medical stays;
- evidence for the planned proprietary or “next-generation” interventions;
- operational outcome or safety data.
That information may appear closer to opening. Until then, comparisons against operating clinics would be speculative.

- itemized program and hotel costs;

- emergency-transfer arrangements;
- follow-up responsibilities after returning home.
Do not send a non-refundable medical deposit based only on a development announcement. If the interest is in a residence rather than a clinical stay, use separate legal and financial due diligence because property ownership and medical access are different products.
What the 2027 Change Means
Moving the public date to 2027 is material for travel planning. It does not by itself signal a failed project, and the provider does not explain the reason on the pages reviewed.
